Next Gathering June 9th & 10th 2006

Shasta Gathering is an annual event that began in September of 1999. What started out as a small gathering of friends from Sacramento and the Bay Area enjoying the rhythms of electronic dance music, has expanded to include people from all up and down the West Coast. People from as far north as Seattle, Washington, as far south as Huntington Beach California, as far East as Colorado and New Mexico have participated over the past few years making this event very special indeed. (In 2006 we may see some ppeps from Hawaii!)

The intention set forth each year has always been the same. The upliftment of our personal and collective vibrations through music, workshops, and simply being in the area of Mt Shasta which is known by many as one of the highest magnetic centers on the planet. Not a year has gone by that most attendees have not felt somehow transformed by attending this event. One of the more recent adjectives used to describe it is "EPIC".....

One of the wonderful aspects of how this event has been evolving is that many attendees have been creating their own sacred spaces and small theme areas. The Love Shack was the most prominent theme Cabin at the 2003 Shasta Gathering. Along with the Love Shack there were some astoundingly big & beautiful altars built as well as guests decorating their camping areas with Beautiful tapestries. The staff at the resort were so impressed, they indicated that we are their favorite annual group and that they look forward to our return every year. Beautification and theme areas are definitely encouraged this year and the years to come. Build altars, create artwork, and build structures of beauty. As has been said in the past, this event is a collective effort and belongs to us all who nurture it. Recently, many have described it as a micro Burning Man in the woods!
